Somalis are intelligent, affectionate and social cats. They love to play and do best with an animal companion preferably an equally active cat or two. They remain quite kittenish as adults. They have quiet voices which they rarely use.

They are very agenda oriented and know when you're coming home and when it's feeding and treat time. They'll let you know if you forget by first staring then getting more insistant by head butts and purrs.
